​Wübu is a showcase, a testing ground where human needs meet the needs of flora and fauna, where both interact in peace, harmony and plenitude.

Worldwide, wealth accumulates in cities, while the rural areas that feed them are left impoverished.

Meanwhile cities are centers for pollution, crime, great discrepancies between the rich and the poor and other hardships from concentrating millions of people in small spaces.

Our team believes there is a way to generate well-being in rural areas, and this well-being does not need to destroy, pollute and degrade these areas to create wealth.

This is why we have created this project. We know that if we work in harmony with nature, if we get and share knowledge, if we practice sustainability, if we respect all forms of life (even inanimated life), we will surely find balance and happiness, while creating wealth to improve everyone's quality of life.

Wübu is based in the following principles: Peace, Harmony and Plenitude. Everyone that visits our project should discover those principles in their life, as well as find solutions for his or her fundamental needs.

We apply Permacultural principles in our labor. This means we observe how nature works—how some plants benefit others, how some deter insects, how others feed microorganisms and nurture the soil—and then apply this knowledge to work alongside nature, to cultivate the best and healthiest products in the land, while it is happy to give them.

Visitors to the project can learn about Permaculture, hike between our plantations, tour our nurseries, organic and natural buildings, fruit trees of many species and our collection of endemic rare hardwoods trees growing in their native jungle environment, and more.
Also, they can collaborate with locals to learn these methods and replicate them in other regions of the world.

Work is being done daily, and anyone who wants to learn about Permaculture and rural development can contact us ask about internships, collaborations or about supporting us by donating or investing towards our projects.

There are many sights throughout the property: deep limestone caves, mountains and valleys, natural springs, areas for birdwatching, and old-growth forests of exotic trees, plants and wildlife.

An archaeological site, dating from earlier than 200 B.C., will present a window to ancient Mayan civilization which once thrived here.

In summary, this project is a model for land stewardship, combining ancient knowledge and modern technology, that creates well-being for both humans and mother nature—the soil, plants, animals, locals, visitors—all are involved, working together in harmony.
